Liverpool have made Adama Traore a top transfer target in the summer with Jurgen Klopp a big fan but Wolves have slapped a hefty price tag on the winger
Liverpool have been told that Adama Traore would be an excellent signing by former player Graeme Souness.
The Wolves winger has been strongly linked with a transfer to Anfield in the summer.
He has been priced at £60m by the Molineux outfit and Jurgen Klopp is a big fan.
There could be some changes in personnel in the squad next year on Merseyside.
The likes of Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne will see their contracts expire while Xherdam Shaqiri is keen to leave for first-team football.
Klopp has been interested since Traore’s star performance against Liverpool earlier in the season.
Adama Traore has been in fine form this season.
Timo Werner had ‘virtual meeting’ with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp
The German said at the time: “He is unplayable in moments, it’s unbelievable. What a player – it’s not only him but he’s so good.”
“Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez would walk into anybody’s team, they are too good to be sitting on the bench anywhere in the Premier League, but the one that intrigues me is Traore,” Souness wrote.
“These players are like a jigsaw, there’s always a part missing.
“But Traore has improved and let’s hope he keeps improving because he gets you on the edge of your seat when in full flight.”
Traore has improved vastly this season after a number of years struggling in England.
Prior to his move to Wolves, the 24-year-old was lacking end product.
But under Nuno Espirito Santo, Traore has been a revelation.
Even Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has been impressed against his side earlier this season.
“He is a motorcycle! It’s almost impossible [to stop him]. Nobody can handle this pace,” Guardiola said in December.
It came after he scored in a 3-2 win over City and caused havoc all match.
